How It Works

​

1. Step 1: Register and Submit Your Lap Times

   • Initial Registration Fee: £150.00

   • Submit your fastest lap times from your current home track (indoor or outdoor).

   • Lap times will be reviewed, and only the fastest drivers will progress to the next stage.

​

1. Step 2: Second Registration and Test Session

   • Second Registration Fee: £400.00

   • Drivers who pass the lap time stage will be invited to complete their second registration.

   • Once registered, you will book a 40-minute test session (worth £200) to drive the exact karts you’ll race if awarded the scholarship.

   • This test session is a critical step to showcase your skills in a controlled, competitive environment.

2. Compete to Secure Your Spot

   • Final selections will be based on your performance during the test session. Only the best will win the scholarship.

• Scholarship Inclusions:

  • Entry to 4 race weekends out of 8 guaranteed.

  • If more than 25 participants compete, the scholarship expands to include a full season!

Eligibility Requirements

• Open to drivers of all experience levels who can demonstrate competitive lap times.

• Participants must be prepared to cover damages and travel expenses.

What to Expect on Testing Day at Rye House

Testing day is designed to showcase your potential, help you grow, and evaluate your racing capabilities in a professional setting. Here’s how the day will unfold:

Kart Allocation

• Drivers will be assigned karts that match their racing class based on age and experience.

• This ensures a fair evaluation and provides the opportunity to race with equipment tailored to your skill level.

​

The Testing Format

• Each driver will participate in four 10-minute sessions spread throughout the day.

• These sessions are designed to assess consistency, adaptability, and progress rather than just raw speed.

​

Coaching and Feedback

• Between sessions, you’ll work with Team Manager Steve, who will provide personalized coaching.

• Steve will focus on helping you:

  • Optimize racing lines.

  • Improve cornering and braking techniques.

  • Understand kart dynamics and how to adapt to different conditions.

• The goal is progress—every improvement counts!

Weather Considerations

• Don’t stress about the weather! Rain, wind, or shine, all conditions will be taken into account.

• The evaluation isn’t about setting the fastest-ever lap but showing steady improvement and responsiveness to coaching and track conditions.

Your Results

• After the testing day, the team will analyze your performance, taking into account:

  • Lap consistency.

  • Progression during the day.

  • Responsiveness to coaching and feedback.

  • Adaptability to track and weather conditions.

• Results will be announced in the second week of March, giving you clarity on the next steps.
